Well, not everything has to be completely from scratch. I'm coming clean! So this is actually made from DH signature mix and substituted 1/4 cup of applesauce for each egg. Remainder is made same as package instructions. Life is hard all on its own, sometimes you just need to make something sweet and easy. This turns out just as yummy but less light and more dense than the egg version.
